Cala N2 was written for Catchpenny’s concert and wine tasting series. The piece takes its shape from the tasting notes of Finca Tinedo’s wine of the same name, translating its aromas, texture and finish into a short quartet.

The music responds to the wine’s changing character, allowing contrasting gestures, colours and textures to unfold as though moving through the experience of a tasting.
